In hopes of the best

This place needed an update!

I have new pair of glasses, considering that I didn't wear glasses for a few years now, we can say they are right down new glasses...I don't have the old one...they suit me just fine, well I mean real good...I am quite happy, it didn't took me days to figure out which pair suited me...I thought I had lost the glasses-face, but no, it got easy and simply quick to be used to them.

So I'll try to post a picture of me sporting my new black frame glasses...

I am in LOVE with Common...and me thinks I am going to buy is new album...I got to HMV and bought what I thought to be his latest, but no, however the CD is SO yummy to the ears... unlike Patrick Watson...P.W. hmmm, I am down at his 5th (or more) listening and I can barely keep interested in his tunes...it's a complete unknown terrain for me...so I guess after the tenth time I shall be able to like his music...it's really all new, though I can 'hear' a ressemblance to Coldplay, The Killers and some others...AND him, P.W. is genuine, i have to admit. Track 2 (indeed, on my Ipod, it is called 2) The tune sounds like it came from Tim Burton newest project (whatever that is lol) It is weird, gothic and new *slightly disturbing too!*

Well, since we are into music, I also bought Release the stars, Rufus Wainwright. Again, not enough commercial to me... *hey! At least I admit it!!! lol* There are some songs that I already enjoy but in general the album contains new material for me (as a listener) AND, I also got the first album of Amy Winehouse, Frank. It is completely amazing! I heard a voice difference, alcohol and cigarettes have changed her tone (when comparing the first with her last) but it is a nice tone nonetheless, No greater love seems to come straight from the 40's, and it was 'made' like so...the rest is as catchy as her latest CD, right now I am listening only to her first album but eventually those two will equal each other.

So other than my new sight and new adds in my music collection (I still commit on getting new artist and new sounds to my collections), school is up and about and it is fun, looks like it's going to stay like that for a good while *at least until the new session*, it's fun AND simple. The simple part is seemingly going to change since I have a big group project for Museology but still right now it looks good.
I am also closing on my LT, which is AMAZING. I don't realise it, so I am not that excited, but I have my plane tickets, BUT no money (but that won't be for too long...well... maybe but there is nothing to worry...I will be going to London for sure!)
And I have no one to call B/F...and I had a blind date... for sure I would have prefer to keep it blind... the guy is hooked up but not me...and as superficial as I can be, it is mostly on looks...but not entirely...we both have some *some* things in common but the guy kept on babbling about EVERYTHING except me...or maybe this one time when he made fun of me...but hey on firsts dates you can always make fun of your girl, right?? SO I basically called him off.. un-officially and as subtlely as I can and he just doesn't get it... he must think I am his now...right!!! Anyway, I got another nerdy on me... but I can't blame the guy because this very morning I understood that I was the prettiest of the ugliest girls...yep...and you know what? Let's just face it! I accept it and will ride with it from now on...maybe that will get me guys...we never know....
My cousin is waiting for her second child any day now..well supposebly on thursday, but could be sooner...that's cool! Makes me want to have children and an boyfriend too...oh well..let's focus on school first!
So, I have to head to school stuff for now
